Lake Como is 200 metres above sea level, The climate is mild, with humid and temperate winters, and hot and sunny summers featuring frequent summer storms.

Winter winds are weak except when the wind blows from the north (föhn), while in summer a thermal breeze prevails, called Breva, which blows from the south.
